In 2023, the internet went wild for AI-generated images where QR codes were hidden inside artwork. The technique — using Stable Diffusion with ControlNet — created images that looked like beautiful portraits or landscapes, but could be scanned with any phone camera.
We thought: what if you could wear that?

How the hidden QR technology works
The magic is a technique called ControlNet QR steganography. Here's the simplified version:
- 1We generate a standard QR code at high error-correction (level H), meaning up to 30% can be obscured and it still scans.
- 2That QR code is fed into a Stable Diffusion ControlNet pipeline as a structural constraint. The AI is told: generate artwork that roughly matches this structure.
- 3The result looks like art to the human eye, but the underlying structure — which phone cameras analyze — still forms a valid QR code.
- 4We print it at high resolution on your shirt.
The result is genuinely surprising — and reliably scannable. We test every generated design before it goes to print.
